In reception this week, we have been reading the story ‘The Dragon with the Blazing Bottom’. The children found a golden egg in the classroom that was filled with dragons! The children have been writing sentences about the egg and the dragons inside. In maths this week, the children have been working hard to order numerals while also explaining which order the numbers go in using the words ‘more’ and ‘less’ e.g. “I know that 8 comes after 7 because 8 is 1 more than 7”. The children have enjoyed making dragon collages and sponge paint eggs. Outside the children have been practicing their throwing and catching skills.
