In reception this week, we have continued to look at ’The Stick Man’ and have been busy preparing for the Nativity play. In literacy, we explored rhyming pairs from the story and writing a short sentence to match. In Maths, we have been identifying and describing 2D shapes. We have also been making holiday cards for our friends and family.
From the week beginning 8th January 2024, Reception will begin hosting family-shared reading sessions every Friday at 2:45. Parents are invited to come and read with their child and listen to a whole class story in the Bees and Butterflies.
