In reception this week, we have continued to read the story ‘The Dragon with the Blazing Bottom’. In literacy, the children have been writing sentences describing the big dragon and the small knight e.g. “The red dragon is big.” and “The man is little.” In maths this week, the children have been working hard to find number bonds to 5 and 10 using their hand and counters e.g. “2 and 3 makes 5”. The children have enjoyed creating a night-time winter scene painting with sponges. Outside the children have continued to practice their throwing and catching skills whilst standing on a crate.
