Year 6 had a lovely trip to Coventry Cathedral this week in preparation for our next topic ‘A Child’s War’ which is all about World War 2. We heard stories about how the new cathedral was built and the efforts that were made to ensure the ruins stayed as a memorial to those who lost their lives in the Blitz. We saw what it was like to be a child in WW2 and it made us think about how lucky we are today to enjoy the lives we have.
