Reception have been on a local area walk. Before we left, we discussed how we would look at our environment’s features. We also discussed safely walking and crossing roads in our local area. The children enjoyed walking up to see all the different shops, the community center, the restaurants and then looking at the park, the lake and the cathedrals in the distance. When we came back to school we remembered the features we had seen. We also used Google Earth to explore how we walked from the classroom.
