This week in literacy the Bees and Butterflies have continued to read ‘So Much’ by Trish Cooke. We have explored the different orders in a story ‘beginning, middle, and end’ and how we read a story holding the book the correct way around. In maths, the children have been learning about conservation and composition of numbers—that numbers have the same value when nothing has been changed and larger numbers can be made up of smaller numbers. The Bees and Butterflies have been busy in the creative area creating stick puppets. The children have also been practicing their letter formation and learning how to hold a pencil.
