This week the Bees and Butterflies have been learning about a range of 2D shapes, what they look like and how to describe them. In literacy, we have been reading the story ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’. The children have been sequencing the story, describing the characters, answering ’why’ questions and looking at rhyming pairs. They have also enjoyed making warm scarves for the cold giraffe out of felt, buttons, sequins and feathers. Outside, the reception children have enjoyed hammering golf tees into pumpkins to help with their fine motor development.
