Myths and catapults!

In maths this week, year 3 have been using place value charts and base tens to work out addition and subtraction questions. The children have worked really hard with this and have been able to explain their methods.

In English, year 3 have been drafting, editing, and publishing their version of the King Midas myth. The children thought about each part of the story and thought creatively about their ideas.

In D&T, year 3 have made the structure of a catapult. The children had to measure, mark, cut, and join the wood. The children were very sensible when using saws to cut the wood in order to make the frame structure. The children thought carefully about the success criteria while doing these steps.
