Geography- Climate Zones and the Equator

This week in the Turtles and the Tigers we have been focusing on climate zones and how being nearer, or further away from the Equator, affects this. We learned that the closer you are to the Equator, the hotter the climate as the sun points towards that part of the earth at a 90-degree angle. As the polar regions are further away and don’t receive that much sunlight (because of the Earth’s tilt) they are much colder.
