This week in Year 5 we had an Egyptian day, where an Egyptologist came to visit and taught the children all about Ancient Egypt. They learnt about mummification, pharaohs, tombs and pyramids and Ancient Egyptian culture. They were also able to hold and see up close artefacts that were thousands of years old, that have been found from the Ancient Egyptian period. It was a fantastic day where the children gained some excellent knowledge for our topic!
