This week in Year Six, we have been learning all about different Botanical artists. The children studied two different artists (Katie Scott and Carl Linneas). The children started the week by creating an artist study page and analysing these artists’ work. After this, the children then had chance to have a go at their own botanical drawings whereby they needed to think about the composition of their flowers and botanical-inspired drawings. Lots of the children thought about positioning their flowers in the middle of their page as this is what they wanted to stand out the most.
