This week in Year 5, the children have been looking at landscape art. First, they took photographs of landscapes from on the school playground before they drew their landscape using line drawing skills. The following lesson, they drew a quick, simple sketch of their landscape before deciding which materials and colours would be suitable choices for their collage. We discussed how to layer, match colours and different ways to tear, cut or rip the materials for creating a collage that would best represent their landscape.
