History – Trip to the Lunt Roman Fort

In year 4 this week, the children went on a trip to Lunt Roman Fort. The children learnt about the Romans in battle, the design of a fort and they even explored Roman armor! It was a fantastic trip full of exciting new knowledge and vocabulary.

The children learnt special Roman fighting techniques which helped them conquer and invade most of Europe!
Some children were even lucky enough to dress up as a Roman solider!
This children studied defensive tactics the Roman soliders used and how they used the fort to protect themselves against the native Celts.
