Spring 1, Week 1
5th January – This week in year 6 we are learning about.
15th December – This week in year 6 we are learning about.
Autumn 2, Week 6 – The Highwayman!
This week in Year 6 the children learnt about the classic poem: The Highwayman. We compared characters with the Highway Rat (by Julia Donaldson) and then the children analysed the Highwayman poem. Well done Year 6!
8th December – This week in year 6 we are learning about.
Autumn 2, Week 5 – Poetry.
Year 6 have been looking at poetry in WCR this week. We have been using our strategies to answer SATs style questions based on the poems that we have read. Excellent work everyone!

Autumn 2, Week 4 – Botanical Artists.
This week in Year 6, the children have begun their new art unit. We started by looking at different botanical artists and their work. We then practised drawings in the style of the artists.
