Beds, Part Part Whole and Setting Descriptions.
This week in year 1 we have made and tested our beds for Mrs Large in DT. The children did a brilliant job of using strong shapes to make sure they were stable and stiff structures. In maths we have been focusing on part, part whole models and in English writing setting descriptions.
20th October – This week in the Dolphins and Dragonflies we will be learning to.
Design and Technology – A bed for Mrs Large.
This week in Year 1 we have been learning all about the design process in DT. We have been set the challenge of designing a new bed for Mrs Large from our story in English. Next week we will be building them. In maths we have been focusing on number bonds to ten.
