What Reception are doing next week – Week 6
WB 29.09.25 in Reception
This week, Reception have been reading the traditional tale ‘The Little Red Hen’. In Literacy we began to write the initial sounds of words from the book, for example ‘s’ for sun. In Maths we have compared size, capacity, and weight. We have been very creative in provision and made fluffy hens.
6th October – This week in the Dolphins and Dragonflies we will be learning to.
History, counting in 2s and Non fiction texts.
This week year 1 have been learning about life in the 1950s in history and comparing it to life now. They were not impressed by the children’s lunch choices back then! In maths they have been counting in 2s and in English they have been learning about non fiction texts.
