Year 2 Blog

Welcome to the year two blog page, which will be updated regularly so that you can keep updated with what's been happening school side.

Wednesday 12th June

Today the children visited Ryton Pools. They had a fantastic time finding out about different plants and tress. The children also had a go at building shelters. All the adults were so impressed at how hard the children worked and how well they worked in their groups.

Monday 10th June

Today the children have been sketching fruits. They have done amazingly well. They learnt about observing the shapes and colours of the fruits. Year 2 are excited about Thursday when they will work with another artist to transform their ideas onto silk paintings!

Friday 3rd May

After the children behaved fantastically at Coombe Abbey on Tuesday, they were invited back to try out the new Go Ape course. It was a big challenge for all of the children and they all pushed themselves outside of their comfort zone to try something new. We are extremely proud of all the children this week and sure they will enjoy a rest over the long weekend!

Tuesday 30th April

Year 2 had a great day at Coombe Abbey today. The children went pond dipping, did a bug hunt and had a fantastic time exploring the play area. All of the children were very well behaved and we even had members of the public comment on how brilliant they were!

Tuesday 19th March

Year 2 have been to Leam Boat Centre today to have a go at canoeing! The children really enjoyed their adventure and behaved brilliantly.

Thursday 7th March

Today is World Book Day and we've had a blast. The children all looked wonderful dressed up as their favourite book characters. They enjoyed a drama workshop about Peter Pan.
